The Country Classroom focuses on learning opportunities designed to acquire skills for self sufficiency, lowering your environmental impact and increasing your connection to nature.

 These classes will involve hands on experience and practical demonstrations to solidify understanding and build confidence.  Classes may also include instruction on DIY projects and basic crafting skills.

Mindfulness Simplified

Saturday | MArch 29th | 10am

Join Life Coach, Annette, for an engaging workshop on mindfulness and self-care.
This interactive session will provide participants with practical techniques for cultivating a healthy mindset, managing stress, and achieving balance in daily life.
Participants will receive comprehensive course materials and engage in a creative activity by crafting “Joy and the Journey” journals for goal-setting and intention.
Please bring scissors and a writing instrument, all other materials will be provided.

Garden Prep Workshop

Garden Season is approaching!! Are you experiencing feelings of being overwhelmed in preparation for the upcoming season?- To alleviate some of the stress associated with gardening, we invite you to join our Garden Prep class.
During this session, we will address the following topics & more:

> I’m limited planting space, what are alternative growing methods?

Sourdough Bread Workshop

Saturday | April 12th | 10am

Learn the art of sourdough bread making with Benjamin and Christie from Rustik Rollz Bakehouse.
Topics discussed in class will include making a dough ball, feeding a starter, stretches and folds, proofing timelines, inclusion, shaping methods, banneton use & care, as well as baking methods.
Class participants will take home a jar of sourdough starter, a dough ball, a silicone banneton, lame, recipes, and a link to Christie’s Amazon storefront with all of your sourdough needs.

Easter Chocolatiering

Saturday | April 12th | 1pm

Join Trish from Trish’s Truffles and Sweet Treats to embark on a chocolate journey, beginning with the selection of your favorite chocolate flavor: milk, white, or dark.
You will master the techniques of painting with cocoa butter and crafting beautiful solid chocolate Easter bunnies and rich chocolate-filled eggs.
Your family and friends will be impressed with your Sweet Easter Treats!
In this class you’ll get an introduction to chocolate and tempering. Painting, molding, and making solid chocolate Easter bunnies and painting, casting, filling, and capping Easter eggs.
You’ll create and take home either 1 3-D Chocolate Bunny or 2 single Chocolate Bunnies, one dozen of filled chocolate eggs,  a custom Trish’s Kitchen apron, a recipe book, and boxes for packaging your finished products.

Herbal Medicine Cabinet

Join Shauna, owner of Roots Health Shop, for a comprehensive workshop on ‘Your Herbal Medicine Cabinet.’
In this session, she will dive into crucial topics such as contamination, common herb components, herb-drug contraindications, and safe herbal practices during pregnancy & lactation.
Additionally, Shauna will discuss the top 8 essential herbs to include in your medicine cabinet, their uses, and benefits. Participants will receive a storage container featuring all 8 herbs discussed.

Fresh Floral Arrangment Class

Saturday | May 10th | 12pm

In this class you’ll learn how to create beautiful flower arrangements using fresh, seasonal blooms with Tokarski’s Flower Farm.

The class will cover basic techniques like selecting flowers, arranging them in vases or as hand-tied bouquets, and adding finishing touches. You’ll also learn how to work with colors and textures to make your arrangements look stunning.

You’ll take home your floral arrangement and the skills to make beautiful arrangements on your own.

This class is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to improve their floral design skills. All supplies and a vase are included.

Charcuterie Board Workshop

Wednesday | June 4th | 6pm

Impress your guests with an elegant edible display!- Join Tylene from Modern Simplicity for a Charcuterie Workshop on National Cheese Day.
Participants will learn how to artfully arrange meats, cheeses and fruit on their own board and which wines pair best with cheeses. Participants will curate their own board to take and enjoy!
A cheese wiz quiz will conclude the evening. The winner will receive a gift card to Modern Simplicity and a photo in the cheese costume!
This event is BYOB.
Please bring a knife to class for cutting meats and cheeses. All other supplies for this workshop are provided.
